AHEAD stands for Allen and Hardin for Election Action and Democracy, and since I helped found the group, I got to create the logo. AHEAD is growing constantly, and the group has a wide variety of people in it, all of whom had an opinion on the way the logo should work. Trying to make everyone happy was definitely a challenge! I ended up going through fifteen different logo designs (some of them just color variations, some of them more complex) before our Communications & Publicity committee settled on this one:
Here’s the logo without the text, which is equally as effective, though not quite as self-explanatory. That’s okay, though, because to try to sum all 200+ members up in one logo would be near impossible!
Lessons learned: Working for a lot of people can be fun, but also AHEAD-ache! Get it? 😉
