When I learned my friend Carla was running for Lima City Council, I immediately agreed to make a logo for her. Carla requested earthy colors, butterflies, and her slogan, “Community is Caring.” This is what I came up with:

Here’s one “in action” outside a bar where Carla held events. As you can see, the colors are slightly off in the printed version, but that was a choice we made because we wanted them ready ASAP. If we’d been willing to wait longer, the colors would have matched more precisely.

And, just for fun, here’s a Facebook profile picture frame. The picture on the right is the frame used on a shot a friend got of Carla and I the night she got elected. We look a little crazy, but in our defense, it had been a LONG journey!
